Το Υπουργίο Υγείας τελικά αποφάσισε να μην κλείσει τον καταβλισμό προφύγων στην Σπερχιάδα της Λαμίας. ο συγκεκτιμένος καταβλισμός λειτουργεί εδω και χρόνια για οικογένιες προσφύγων υπό την υποπτία του Ερεθρού Σταυρού για τους πρόσφυγες. αλλά απο σήμερα ο καταβλισμός λιτουργεί υπο την υποπτία της ΜΚΟ ( Γιατροί του Κόσμου ) μέχρι το τέλος του χρόνου,

Reception centre for refugees in Sperchiada to close down

The reception centre for asylum seekers in Sperchiada, Lamia, is to close down as decided by the Greek Red Cross due to lack of financial resources.

According to a local representative of the Greek Cross, the Ministry of Health has not settled its financial obligations to meet the needs of the centre while the Red Cross is unable to keep the centre running. Today four families are accommodated in Sperchiada but there is no provision for their transfer to other facilities.

Counsellors of the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Welfare stated that it is a matter of management of funds and the Ministry is examining options such as to grant a rent allowance of about 2,000 euros to those who wish to stay there or to host them in other facilities in Athens.
